The Starters Gun - Navigational Scatter. 11th September 2026.

 The Starters Gun, Round 1 of the 2026/27 Navigational Scatter Championship. The event will Start/Finish - MR 187/1440 3180  Layby on A281 Broadbridge Heath. 

The navigation will consist of some form of map referances and the remaining normal navigation. All crews will start at 20.00hrs. Please try to be signed on by 19.30hrs. as a briefing will take place at 19.40hrs. The finish time of the event is 23.00hrs, with 5pts per minute being deducted for every minute late up until 23.10.59hrs when crews will be deemed O.T.L. 

Important: If those wishing to take part, see regulations sent with this newsletter for entry information using the online link - https://forms.gle/v9mSqLcgUFDBbJyJ7 The entry list opens when Regs received and closes finally on 10th September 2026 at 18.00hrs. 

Usual Navigational equipment will be required including complete Map (don’t be tempted to remove the legend), Protractor, Drawing Compass, several pencils (B to 2B) and a Romer. An 18-inch rule would be handy along with a suitable map board and map reading light. Don’t forget a good torch. 

Help will be given to beginners, as well as a simple form of the route book (all map references) on request.
